Rewatching #stargateuniverse and got my wife to finally give it a shot. A series she watched only 10 minutes of the first episode and unilaterally declared it the worst of all three. We're 25 episodes in and she keeps yelling at me for not starting another one. Easily the best of them all.

I cannot believe that tomorrow I'm just going to... work. While the world feels like it's burning around me. Like I'm sitting here going "the f does homegrown next" mean, like we don't all know what exactly what it means. And I just need to be... Okay with it & go about my day? I'm terrified.

General life updates: about a month into the new role. A lot of the day to day involves building out a hiring process and offboarding external contractors, documenting core business functionality. In another world, this would be boring. But today? I feel driven with purpose again.

Well, here's some fun Friday news. After 10 months of being out of work/slowly stagnating contracts, I've gone full time at long last. This market is awful. The mental toll it's taken has been awful. This last week has been awful. Hoping steady income can at least alleviate some of this stress.

Had an interesting experience at a hobby shop recently. My last deburring tool+blade broke on me, and asked my wife to pick one up in the city. Place was an OG metal/Plamo kit store, and the deburring was "too advanced" to stock. We literally picked it up from home depot that weekend for $7.

November #gunpla backlog update, and workspace. I'm at danger critical levels of backlog, so building has once again commenced. Also look at that cute rug and table lamp! Basements never looked so cozy.

Feels good to get a simple straight build under my belt tonight. EG build strike exceed-- super basic but a lot of fun, would highly recommend for beginners, the exceed fighter is such a cool gimmick. I honestly wouldn't be mad if this was labeled as an HG! #gunpla #gundam

re:zero is one of the most perfect #anime I have watched in decades. Director's cut of S1 is streaming on crunchy, so thats the best way to watch it. Incredibly deep, complex story arcs with adult subject matter. I've completely forgotten it's an isekai, it's just an absolutely incredible story.

Folks have a hard time believing that me, nearly in my forties now, know about #gunpla, let alone build. Well, here's a backlog tax. I tend to get a 5 year itch since I was 9? where I forget about the hobby, then start machining through the backlog before restocking. This is the latest iteration.
