I wish rideshare services would include the option to not use any Tesla vehicles. I very much resent having to ride in one.

Pet peeve of mine: Accessibility visitors. These are people that treat accessibility documentation like a TripAdvisor review they spent 20 minutes reading, then show up and start telling locals what to do. Or worse, start trashing the place for everyone else. (It happens, ask me how I know)

So that Meta AI ad about Frank the fish... Meta AI was smart enough to tell the guy where the fish was bought and what it looked like, and even reminded him that Zoe's school gets out in 10 minutes... Would it have been easier to tell him that Zoe took Frank to Show and Tell? Is this your AI king?

When learning or teaching WCAG we often hear level AA is only the bare minimum but we also say that AAA is too hard. It can be very confusing for people, and most of the good stuff happens after the bare minimum. How do people learn to reconcile the gap? We need to stop downplaying AAA.

Fed up with Meta? Avoiding Instagram or Facebook isn’t enough to stop Meta from harvesting and profiting from your private information. Here’s how to limit Meta’s ability to monetize your personal data.

PSA: It’s 2025, make sure you involve disabled people in any conversation or decision that specifically impacts people with disabilities. If you are absolutely unable to get feedback from disabled people with lived experience, at least listen to accessibility SME’s with earned experience.

Be patient with some forms of ableism if you're empowered to. Correct those who have shown that they can take correction. Bring people along on this journey to being fairer and more inclusive. But sometimes – often – people want Disabled human beings to be unseen or fucking dead. Don't forget it.
