I really appreciate this TikToker with Tourette syndrome, Shay, for taking the time to educate so many of us (including me) about her disability and coprolalia in light of what happened at the BAFTAs with John Davidson when Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage. I learned a lot.

Amazing to watch the understandable hubris of Anthony Bourdain’s first episode of Parts Unknown in Myanmar. I watched the other day, and the discussion about possible democracy taking hold in Myanmar was from the perspective of the presumed “fact” that our democracy was not fragile. Gutting.

Why do we have institutions for learning if they so easily cave to a bully’s threats? We are collectively going have to sacrifice a lot to stand up for our freedom. Dismantling would be better than collectively crouching in fear for very short term preservation.

By moving to the “center,” Democrats have failed to fight the forces that led us to Trump: widening inequality and the unchecked power of billionaires. There's no "center" anymore between a takeover of the government by oligarchs and true freedom. Dems need to learn this.
