I don't love some of the chase sequences in Silent hill f cos they leave little room for the occasional jank movement that happens with object collision. you die in the same place a few times and it becomes a fight with the controls instead of being thematically tense. can't have it all 🥲

Silent Hill F utilizes a really satisfying risk vs reward system in how it invites the player to explore. You might die or waste precious resources getting to it - but there's likely something at the end of that snaking corridor that saves you or makes you stronger.
