Confused about how an accepted manuscript is transformed into the final proof. Re-reading my published work and finding several typos and missing words which were NOT there in the final accepted manuscripts (I checked!) but are now in the published version. How is this even possible? #AcademicSky

This blog post is a perfect illustration of the relevance of philosophy of science. Policies and practices aimed at promoting objectivity will fail if based on a mistaken view of what objectivity is. Same with fairness, responsibility, etc.
