Tiny little victory - but a nice one. When we began working on Fairtrade, people often said "but the coffee is terrible" (at one time, it was). This month Which magazine's two best buy Colombian coffees are Fairtrade - one from CafeDirect, one from M and S. Justice & quality. A great combo

A Lent 🧵1/6 I’ve been slow to write a reflection today. That’s partly a reaction to the world situation. We woke up this morning to a world even more immersed chaos than it was yesterday. It made my plan to spend the 2 week of Lent focusing on the blessing of gospel living seem at best irrelevant.

Not blessed are the loudest. Or the most certain. Or the most politically “correct.” Jesus blesses the hungry. The ones who ache for justice but won’t weaponize it. Who long for truth but won’t trade it for cruelty. Who thirst for wholeness—and are brave enough to believe it’s still possible.
