ivy listened. remaining silent as she took it all in. “ you honored your wife’s wishes the best you could. you helped her die with respect instead of to a disease . . . it’s commendable even if you feel cursed. ” nose wrinkling. “ i did this to myself. poisoned myself with toxins. ”
