One of the hardest lessons of accepting my autism diagnosis is the realization that so many people put up with me, rather than genuinely wanting to be friends. And it's impossible to understand the organic nature of friendship. I really treasure the people who like me for me.

It's Labor Day and I'm definitely going to be laboring. The vinyl record cabinet is finished. I'll be installing lights in it and starting to install all the electrical stuff I'll need in the walls.
