@dynamitecomicshq.bsky.social @jimmypalmiotti.bsky.social I grew up on Blue Falcon & Dynomutt cartoons on the USA Network Cartoon Express. My kids know Dynomutt from the Scooby Doo movie. I just read the first two issues of BF&DM with my son and daughter (10 & 7) and we are hooked and loving it.

Teaching tip: When students are driving you crazy with things like 6-7, don’t get mad at them. Embrace it. The relationships you form and the moments you create will mean more than any standard you could ever teach them.

This might be controversial, but I am going to say it anyway. We need to go back to selling monster cereals year round. It is October 1 and almost everywhere around here has almost sold out. Count Chocula is my favorite cereal of all time and it is not fair we only get it from August to October.

I loved this film. James Gunn gets Superman. Everything about this movie showcases what I have always loved about DC Comics. This film is how Superman is supposed to be. It is a fun movie from beginning to end and I can’t wait to see it again.

InvestigateTV+ picked up on our story about the Every Kid Is A Hero Foundation and I got word that it ran in around 25 different cities yesterday. The video shows some highlights of the story. I am hoping the comics we make for these kids will inspire them the way comics have always inspired me.

We got to see some of our heroes today! The Every Kid Is A Hero Foundation presented Sumner County Schools with a check for $12,000 that was raised at this year’s event. The funds will be split among all high school CDC classes to provide extra resources for students.

I disagree with the caption on this. Yes, Superman could have flown over and saved her, but he and Batman are obviously letting Robin look cool and play the hero on this one. Superman and Batman are solid wingmen. Some may even say they are the world’s finest.

Tonight, I introduced the kids to the timeless classic, “The Outsiders.” I have watched this a ton of times since I was a kid. Every time, I notice that issue of Detective Comics 521 from Dec. 1982 on the shelf. Outsiders took place in 1965. Did Dalley time travel?

No power? No problem! The world tells you that you need a lot of stuff, but this morning was a good example that all you really need is Jesus. Hats off to the First Baptist Hendersonville team for keeping the door open this morning and giving people something to smile about on a dreary Sunday!

Went to a local card shop today and found these American Bandstand cards that featured artists from the 50s-90s. These were some of my favorites.

26 years ago today, I lost my dad to a sudden and unexpected heart attack. Not a day has gone by that I haven’t missed him. He would be amazed at how my/the world has changed since March 29, 1999. I do like to think this is how he went into Heaven to meet Jesus.

Check out episode 37 of After School with Mr. V! Today, I got to chat with the amazing Chloe Styler. Chloe is an incredible singer/songwriter that was named the 2024 Gold Coast Music Awards Breakout Artist of the Year. I think you will be hearing a lot more from her in the future.
