Author copy arrived today of what I hope will be the final cover design for my first novel, I’m really happy with how this turned out. There is lots of fine detail to be examined (Such as the title of book tree is on there) and the gloss finish give it a quality feel.

I don’t like the way this is all going. Newspapers recently brought in a pay / subscribe so not to be tracked with cookies. Now META. Personal data is the new resource & only those with sufficient income can opt out for tracking by paying.

Theo Newton novel 3 is progressing. Not going to promise anything but I’m hoping it will be finished before the end of the year.

How is book three coming? I hear a couple of people ask. After a long period of lack of motivation together with no inspiration; perhaps that’s what writer block is. I have finally got back in front of the keyboard and have typed out a few thousand words.

I wish I could take a week off, go hide away with my laptop, internet and some whisky and crack on writing book three. Too many chores and distractions here. I’ve written very little in the past few weeks.

It occurred to me as I write the final book in my trilogy, that I may have created the most powerful, most sinister, most feared villain (& weapon) in Sci-Fi, book two gives a glimpse at what is to come.

I recently turned 49. Today I collected my first ever pair of prescription glasses. They are a ‘relatively’ mild strength for reading, but time is starting to catch up with me. Tomorrow I’m going to go shopping for some comfy slippers.

I really give up trying to promote my book. No one wants to know. I post on social and it’s a big no no. I try my best but am constantly targeted by trolls. I can’t afford to advertise, but word of mouth doesn’t work. Book shops don’t want to know because of the ‘zon & libraries are the same.
