Not a fan of this as it just comes across as a power grab over the minor parties. Although, this merger was inevitable anyway as Nowoczesna had been losing influence over the years to PO. The name change isn't inspiring either as they've kept the same KO name and branding as before. Nothing new.

Adding to this, there are news articles about the border guard detaining immigrants who don't have the correct documents to stay (illegal) near where I live. In recent months, they've been detained from places that include Colombia, India, and Georgia. So it's a false narrative it's only in the UK.

It's very disappointing to see the end of Nowoczesna. When I moved to Poland 6 years ago they were the party I followed due to aligning most with my beliefs. However, over recent years as they've moved closer to PO, I've been put off them. I've always believed they should've remained independent. 🇵🇱🗳

Received confirmation that my permanent residency application has been successful and in a few weeks I can exchange my temporary residency card for a permanent residency one. This is possible having met the 5 year Polish residency criteria amongst other things. 🇵🇱❤️

Kraków is clearly an appealing city with its architecture and infrastructure, but the huge population growth causes a bug problem for many smaller cities and towns that experience a brain drain as a result.

I actually have a friend who flew from Poland to take part. Gutting for them, especially as the organisers announced that no one will get a refund, despite it being the organisers who cancelled it.

Suppose it was about time that #Notts won a match that they didn't deserve to win. Obviously, last minute goals are one of the best feelings in football providing they go in your favour. I think it does indicate promotion potential by being able to be second best and win.

Sadly, this Unia Racibórz match or performance won't live long in the memory. They drew 1-1 after Adrian Kuczera was the most alert to capitalise on the goalkeeper's error to put Unia 1-0. Unfortunately the ref gave Turza a very soft penalty to equalise. Unia denied a clear pen at the end. FT 1-1

Sky News is platforming a guy who says he's from a Jewish Aston Villa supporters group, but it turns out that the guy a) isn't Jewish, b) the group doesn't exist, and c) he works for the right wing Henry Jackson Society, whose website says he 'specialises in disinformation'. Well, quite.

Not surprising given the disinformation era we are living in, but the Aston Villa story appears to have given rise individuals getting considerable airtime as representatives of supporter groups that didn’t appear to exist until the story blew up. This type of thing quite dangerous.

The issue with the council banning Maccabi Tel Aviv fans for past behaviour is that it sets a precedent to ban other club's for the same thing. However, Israel does have a problem with hooliganism as Maccabi Tel Aviv showed last year in Amsterdam as well as other Israeli clubs in recent years.

The issue the authorities have brought on themselves is that they will now need to ban other club's fans for "previous behaviour" in order not be seen as discriminating. It may have made more sense to give certain fans banning orders.

Politicians from any party should not have immunity. If they commit a crime or an offence then they should face the consequences like everyone else.

One thing that I constantly love about Poland is that when a road needs resurfacing it's done pretty much immediately. Yet, in the UK roads are allowed to deteriorate for 10 years.

I don't know how I missed it but only saw the #FACup draw and who #Notts gave today. It's possibly a tie for TV given there's upset potential. Obviously, hoping the toe will be more straightforward for Notts to advance to the 2nd round.
