Gripping stuff from an ensemble cast at Citizens Theatre last night for Linda McLean's adaptation of Denise Mina's book The Long Drop.

David Hockney's art passed me by, gaining recognition before my time. Then my son got so excited seeing one of his swimming pool pictures in the Tate. Until then I didn't know that he'd connected with his art, and that is still his favourite painting he has seen in the flesh. So for that, thank you.
