I feel like silksong is one of those games that is very fun to be good at, but incredibly unfun to be bad at.. Like, the combat is cool as hell once I've learned a boss, but the learning phase is always super punishing. I have mixed feelings.

Öoo is very well designed so far. I really like the way it implements "metroidvania" progression by having the level design inherently teach you mechanics or design patterns, rather than just by giving you an upgrade. It's just a delightfully elegant game.

The hate being directed at Itch here is baffling. Like yeah, this situation is awful. Creators are losing vital income. but what is Itch actually supposed to do??? This platform cannot survive being cut off from payments entirely. They just aren't positioned to fight this battle.
