Two years after they were first announced, the first 4TB and 8TB SD and microSD cards are said to be coming soon... although you'll need a device with an SDUC card reader to use them.

SanDisk already announced SDUC cards back in 2024. However, these SD cards never hit the market. Now there is a second attempt. 4 and in some cases 8 TB will be available as microSD and SD cards…

My latest column for The Lookout spotlights the (very cool) archival design work done by the Church Hill Association to reconstitute the swoopy headline font of the org's old print bulletins as the banner lettering for this year's Spring Fest celebration.

Communities have the power to connect together without relying on anyone else but the community itself. This is what it looks like to be free from MeetUp, Eventbrite, Facebook Groups. They do not own our relationships. One more place to find our events:

If you're a photographer in RVA: do not use confetti as part of your photoshoots. Do not leave metallic golden confetti in a public park. Do not do this. You do not have a good excuse. Do not rely on good samaritans to clean up after you. When I clean up after you, it makes my dog sad and confused.

US F-15E jet confirmed shot down over Iran as Tehran releases wreckage images
Downing of fighter plane – the first shot down over Iran since start of war – prompts frantic US rescue effort A US F-15E fighter has been shot down over Iran, prompting a frantic US search and rescue effort for its two-strong crew, in the first such incident since the start of the war. Images of a tail fin and other debris were released by Iranian state media early on Friday accompanied by an initial claim that an advanced US F-35 and been hit by a new air defence system over central Iran and the pilot probably killed. I'm at the Hack for RVA hackathon; our project is incentivizing people to choose alternatives to single-passenger car trips. We're looking for local businesses who would be willing to give out, say, a 10% coupon to folks who say they carpooled or took the bus. Do you know anyone who can help?
