Update: The priest went 5 minutes. The ashes are total mayhem. Too many people, only a few clergy giving ashes, no real space for people who have received ashes to use to get back to their seats—and many with walkers, canes, wheelchairs. And totally predictable.

Hypothesis: A New York City parish that posts a sign saying they only distribute ashes during Mass is going to do an extra long Mass.
