I’m off work today and have been writing. How nice to do this during the usual workday. Lots of words put down and lots of bacon eaten. Air fryer bacon is **chef’s kiss** just be aware of the cleanup!

In the late 90s when I decided to start writing, I didn’t have a computer, a word processor, or a typewriter. I wrote everything out by hand. Everything. I found one of my old notebooks today. Takes me back.

I'm officially querying. Looking back, I sent my first query in 2017. That first book received more requests than I remembered. Funny how the same agents have requested from me multiple times. Almost like reading is subjective or something.

The first author evens I went to as a guest was the White River Fan Con. I felt like a freshman in college on my first day. I met John Hornor Jacobs. John was cool. His books are too.

Finished Whalefall today by Daniel Kraus, and I can honestly say I’ve never read anything like it. Not at all what I was expecting. 5/5 stars.

Happy Nutty Aunt’s Eve to all those that celebrate.

Watched Heretic tonight. A+ acting. The story was great until halfway through. Then I had issues. It’s hard to write something people want to consume, I get that, but this movie was so close to greatness it hurt. 6.5/10 could have been 8/10 easy. Just my opinion.
