I am having a great time with the actual story of Legion but the author keeps pulling a Crichton in The Lost World where he uses a specific character as a mouthpiece for his own musings on misunderstandings of how evolution works for 20 minutes at a time lmao

Relevant to the latest QRP but when it comes to stories about fascism I prefer the ending of The Long Walk versus Superman which was so optimistic that it took me right out of it haha.

I am the complete opposite. I crave the catharsis of (fictional) horrors, to make me feel less alone in the human experience. It’s why I read almost nothing but horror. This actually helps bail my boat, to see awful things-even in allegory-acknowledged in art by other people.
