My brother told me about two houses deputies found in Arizona that contained over 60 and 24 dogs. All the dogs had to be taken away to shelters, I think, which is a herculean task that must have swamped those shelters already running near capacity. It just makes me so mad, seeing dogs mistreated.

I read "Assassin's Apprentice." I doubt I'll continue with the rest of the trilogy. I didn't really like this book, and not just because TWO DOGS GET VIOLENTLY MURDERERD IN IT. Mostly I found it just miserable and boring. Lots of court intrigue, not a lot of action.

I watched "Us" (2019). I liked it fine. The movie doesn't really make a whole lot of sense, but it's not *that* kind of a movie, if you know what I mean. It's more about the atmosphere. It reminded me of movies from the 80s that I liked better. For some reason I kept thinking of "The Stuff."
