Eyelines by Drumloop & The Rita is my favourite noise release of the past couple of years. It's amazing how the ambient textures blend with the harsh noise wall sounds and the spoken word bits about make-up application. deathbedtapes.bandcamp.com/album/eyelines

I don't mind birdsong in ambient music *at all*. It has this image of being cliched and lazy but I don't care, it always sounds good.

I have yet to find a record from the 1970-1972 timespan that I don't like. This one of course is particularly great - playing it all the time right now.

More and more am I beginning to really hear the connection between techno and jazz. Listening to Dave Angel and Miles Davis (the older stuff, like Milestones) back to back was the lightbulb moment for me.

I loved this Shelter album so much in the 1990s. This was "Krishnacore" at its finest - super high energy level with a great ear for melodic twists. It still makes me feel very nostalgic whenever I put it on.
