Haven't posted in awhile, but Wonderland is steadily chugging along. Implementing a backup weapon system, where the player can quickly switch to a backup instead of reloading in a tight spot. Some of the old armory will be moved to this role, but here's a new one also. #gamedev #indiegame #blender

I remember how good Mechwarrior 2 was when playing it as a kid, had a joystick setup (just a basic Gravis Analog Pro though). Then many many years later tried it again, then with a mouse and keyboard and while it was obviously so much more intuitive and easy to play, the feeling just wasn't there.

What's a movie you think is perfect? I've a ton of films I can find no fault in, but In the Mood For Love is just something that reveals something new on every watch. For the longest time Chungking Express was my favorite of WKWs work, but recently I've definitely started to prefer this.

Hmm, someone else got there first as a surreal gravity FPS. Kinda annoying, but otoh I've been wondering why the same concept hasn't been previously used. Atleast this kinda validates my vision and apart from the similarities in mechanics, this doesn't seem to share much with Wonderland overall.

a very small update, but I finally redid the textures for the Skorpion (aka klobb). Was one of the first guns put ingame, but the temp textures looked horrible. Did some temporary anims, so both MP5s are ingame. Now Starting to think tho that I should've used a better hand rig for the game when I started this. UE5 rig isn't that good for FPS and for example the left arm has a tendency to look kinda weird in some poses no matter what. #gamedev #unrealengine

For a solodev who doesn't want to spend ages messing around with weapon textures, good smart materials are a godsend.
