🏛️In 1987, President Ronald Reagan first proclaimed October 28 as #nationalimmigrantsday to celebrate and honor how immigrants have contributed to our nation. 📈This year, with a rise in anti-immigrant xenophobia, we want to share findings from our 2025 #AAPI Policy Priorities Survey.

This hits particularly close to home within the NCAPA family, and we want everyone to be aware. Yaa’kub Ira Vijandre, or Jacob, came to the United States with his father at age 14 and later gained legal residency through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
