🔋Today’s Electric Vehicle (EV) stats from New Automotive highlight a breakthrough month for the UK EV market delivering the highest battery electric vehicle (BEV) market share of the year, with 26% of all new cars sold fully electric.

🔌 Electric Vehicle (EV) drivers who are able to rely on at-home charging have already been benefitting from lower running costs compared to petrol vehicles, but new analysis from The Times now shows that drivers relying solely on public charging are also saving money.

Latest: Indonesia launches a probe into POME exports following concerns over fraud. Earlier this year T&E published data showing Indonesia was exporting more POME (a palm oil byproduct) to the EU than it could realistically collect - a major sign of fraud.

The U.K. isn’t using its tax regime to disincentivise SUV purchases. A UK driver pays just £3200 acquisition tax on an £85k car, compared to *£66k* in France!! As a result, 4x as many are sold here in the U.K. than France. @transenvuk.bsky.social
