I dunno, the more I think about the TMP pass on my Loknar the more I think I like it better than the Phobos. One of the reasons I love the refit is the swoopy nacelle pylons, the Loknar is that with the saucer. Still don't have a good spot for the photons, but I might make this my "canon" one.

Got back to the R stations with a little progress. It's been a day of doing lots of things.

TrekCaptains. After the base game there are three possible modules to work on: + Starfleet Academy: Single player expansion adding Captain identities, cadets, progression. +Starfleet Box: More sectors, more missions for core sectors, more ships. +Klingon Box: PvP, adversarial tools, new ships.

TrekCaptains. The last time I tried the Ariel's hull it was in v.05. Before, After.

TrekCaptains. Was cleaning up my master fleet file of hidden objects and random stuff... here's all my Romulans, sans the original Bird of Prey.

Well, now that TrekCaptains is actually *out there* in some form I'm a little at a loss as to what to do next. Polishing I guess, but real feedback is going to happen after the game has been out there for a while. So trying to sketch out ships in the expansions.

Was possessed by an idea, what do you think? I know any Loknar refit spin I do won't be as popular as Kevin Riley's Phobos (Right), but I wanted to build off the TOS take I like. Biggest problem is photon bay and Shuttle placement.

Gonna offer up another one. Most of the ships I've done for Captains are based on some obscure craft or another for the 23rd century... I've typically relented on making ones of my own. But I did set out at one point to do so. This is the Monterrey class Cruiser, in Science and Engineering forms.

Well, it's gonna be tricky to do things for my Birthday, but something I wanted to do is share some of the things that give me joy with others. This K't'inga model is something I'm especially proud of, and now it's up on Thingiverse.

For my birthday I could only think of two things to try playing: 1. A large board game with many small, easily grabbed and colorful pieces (Rebellion) 2. A large console with many small, easily pushed and colorful buttons (Steel Battalion) I'm gonna take my chances with the latter.

Been making good progress in the TrekCaptains rulebook today. At this point I'm going in for full rewrites and then I'll double back on feedback later.

(I would think about doing this for Starbases too, but I think the only ones we see are identical to Earth Spacedock. I'd need to really scour to find some or invent them)

Got the Harmony done, calling it R3 (I know the refs all call them R1s) So that's kits for 5 different configurations of stations. FASA has three more. For some reason they named Regula One as a defense platform. I guess they thought the telescope was a gun.

Got my braincells together to complete Station 2. This one's a manufacturing plant. I may do something with the sprawl to add some details on the platter but this looks okay for now.

Another rough night (cold and my kiddos don't mix well). I had enough brain cells at the laptop to do a few things though, including more progress on the rulebook editing and working up the space stations. Trying to think up some variety in the sprawl.

Back at the desk before bed, at my research folder. Here's some goofy comic weirdness oddballs for your eyeballs. The last one spawned at least three ships I've done, including the Throg.

I was thinking about posting up one of the only pure science vessels I've found for this period (The FASA K'kmarak), but the more I look at the model the more I see points that could be fixed. So, maybe not.

It's been a day of tricky executive function with my kiddos recovering from being sick and it being a cold, rainy day. About the only thing I've been able to be useful about is finally getting stuff done for one of my fanfictions that's been stalled out for months.

Thinking about what ships to bash out of the collection to put up for printing. Pray tell, how to I present the Clydensdale? This was the standard Federation freighter in starfleet command, so I know it well, but trying to print it is 😬

Art is anything one human being makes for other human beings. All games are art; all my games are equally art. Some of mine are more serious, some are baubles, some are more concerned with pushing boundaries or experimentation, but they're all made with thoughtfulness, love, and purpose.

Also in the inventory... one of the comic oddballs. This one is technically from the mirror universe from a swarm of starships out to stop the Excelsior. As we know most Fed ships are present in both universes, so I was calling it the Ellis class.

It's been a day. My kids are coming down sick one after the other and I'm just waiting on my turn. Of all the weeks... Looking at my inventory of ships to model, I got this one, the Grayson from FASA. I don't have many engineering ships, I tried doing this one before but lost the file.

Sometime I need to model one of my favorite top contenders for absurd Star Trek starships. DC Comics, Issue 27. Yes, it's Chekov's fault.

I'm thinking these could be Vulcan ships for TrekCaptains. They were made for TNG unification, but this one's resemblance to the Miranda always made me think it was a contemporary.

Working on sketches this evening. Got the Okay to share some of the work from the large commission on working on for several ships. It's also an excuse to show off some recent illustration work.

TrekCaptains. Just discovered you could reveal already resolved comments. This is good, because that way I can start actually marking off all the problems I've resolved as I go and so make it easier to know what I still need to do.

Rough night, slow but overstimulating morning. Back to modeling, though this evening I need to switch gears to sketching. I'm trying to find a justification not to do these easily breakable thin parts while still honoring the design of the model.

Still working on that station, writing off today. Like the Genser, I think this is the first time anyone anywhere has modeled these space objects. FASA: forgotten Trek.

Wife's getting sick (meaning we're in for a weekend/early week of getting it too), and today is turning out very blegh. There's stuff I need to do, but the energy isn't there. Gonna do a little more modeling while the kids play since it keeps me going. Taking on all those R stations from FASA.

Alright, done. Was an unnecessary waste of time but I got to do something 3D, and I don't think anyone's ever modeled this goose before. So here it is, Genser. I think it beats out the smallest ship in my inventory otherwise, which was a tie between the Akyazi and/or the Ranger.

For fun I stuck the Akula's warp pods on the Genser and they just look comically oversized. This thing is even *smaller* than where I scaled the Ranger!

Had a few moments before the kids got up this morning to do 3D. Decided to put effort into figuring out how big FASA thinks the Genser is. It's an escort, so I shouldn't be surprised.

It's been a day. Ending it with more model work on the Genser while my wife watches Stranger things. We'll go with this for now.
