The Marathon server slam really showcased a mentality split amongst players that I’ve noticed in fighting games many times over. There are those who expect to be good early on and get upset easily. And there are those who just focus on learning regardless of win or loss.

Beat my first run. Overall I loved it, but this was a weird one for me. The most impressive RE, no question. Audio, visuals, haptics, variety and scope. All insane. On the other hand it felt like it had a bit of an identity crisis and felt empty or even soulless at times. #RE9

The other thing I want to call out for RE9 is the haptics and use of the DualSense controller. The rain blips, left/right foot sensation from walking, trudging through waist-deep water, and use in even the cutscenes is nuts. Maybe even better than Returnal somehow. #RE9 bsky.app/profile/krsj...

I think it’s a great sign when a game is polarizing. It means the developers stuck to their vision and didn’t try to cater to too wide of a crowed. I love when the masses agree that a game is great. That’s fun and a feel good situation. But not every game should be that.

Just you wait. I’ma wait like two weeks and snipe the steam chart numbers on a Tuesday morning to prove RE9 is a bad game by highlighting the lower player count.

Seeing others agree that MIO is more difficult than HK and Silksong. (It’s also the better game but that’s subjective and person dependent and yatta yatta and I realize HK and Silksong are amazing in their own right for various reasons)

Both are phenomenal looking for their graphical prowess and art direction, granted. But I sincerely hope these games get their flowers for their sound design too cause holy sh- Between ambient sounds, game info and accuracy, both have been incredible. 🎧 #RE9 #Marathon

I haven’t really played an extraction shooter. I was so, so lost the first few runs. Didn’t understand the game loop or progression or the real goal. Felt dumb, and bad. But then it started clicking and, I think I like this. #Marathon

I have roughly twenty eight thousand games I would like to play but I really need a release date on this new Ace Combat man.

Watched over a sick kiddo until 5 AM last night 🫨 Upside, was able to finish this. Really enjoyed it. It was just, fun. Environments and the addictive upgrade system were the highlights for me. With that, I’ve now played all mainline REs and CV. Ready for Requiem. #REVIII

I’m one of the few who didn’t love 7, so I was always a little hesitant to try 8. Didn’t really enjoy the first two hours or so but definitely having fun with it now. Don’t think I’ll finish it before 9 drops but glad to be checking it out finally. #REVIII

Gazillion opinions on it already, and I have no pull or say. I love the idea of other countries having more majors, it’s just this feels like over saturation. Too many tournaments will make them have less excitement I fear. Less prestige, etc.

Torn on how I want to play VF at home. I want to play on PS5 for convenience and ability to stream but I feel like it’s inherently at a disadvantage against PC players. I can adjust to the delay for offense but I swear the difference matters for reacting to sweeps, GBs, etc. 😢

Beat my first run. Absolutely incredible. The entire playthrough felt like a celebration and culmination of Nioh 1 & 2, SoP, Wo Long, and RotR. I was hooked from start to fin. I have no idea how they refined this so well given all that’s in the game. A masterpiece. #Nioh3

I have gone from thinking Nioh 3 is the easiest of TN’s “Soulslikes” to now thinking it’s the easiest in terms of progressing the story… but one of the most difficult in terms of optional content 😅 Dude, difficulty ramped up 🫨🫨 Game is incredible. #Nioh3

If you are enjoying a game the more you play it and have fun even when you lose, congrats, it’s a keeper. You no longer need to engage with the noise on socials. Don’t need to partake in tier list or balance “discussions.” Look at steam charts, prize payouts, etc. Just play ❤️

Halftime show was dope. Not familiar with Bad Bunny’s music but it felt like a celebration, a party, and repping a home plus the world. Felt needed. Really cool to see so many dancers and performers given screen time, too. Yeah as far as halftime shows go, that was great.

Around 20 hours in including demo time. Game is constant, non-stop fun. I think I only have two critiques so far: -I love the dual class system but I do miss having three stances for every weapon -Might actually be too easy. Especially for vets of the series 😅 #Nioh3
