Happy new year! I started the year by running into the sea followed by awkwardly trying to get changed on the side of the road while not flashing all the passerbys and dog walkers who wanted to stop and say 'happy new year' to me

I had a wonderful, friendly (and fully booked!) launch for Border Riding with Argonaut books and @ancientrobotgames.bsky.social. This only happened because they both wanted to help out a small local publishing house. No big chain business has (yet) ordered or stocked the books and games I publish.

Cycled along the canals all the way from Edinburgh to Glasgow on Sunday. All in all about 98km! It was a bit of a miserable day, cold and wet with long stretches of cycling into the wind, but it was great see the comings and goings of the canal, from rowers and boats to cormorants and ducks!
