We've been inspired by a learners holiday to India and trip to the Market. We found a book called 'A Gift for Amma, Market day in India'. Learners used blocks to create their own Markets. Opportunities for learners that are meaningful and representative, create a sense of belonging

Have you ever felt like you can’t hold your emotions in any longer, and they’re just pouring out? This week, we’ve been learning the importance of dealing with our emotions instead of ignoring them.

It’s a PUMPKIN! Mrs Shield’s Nan grew an enormous pumpkin from a tiny seed. She nurtured the seed to help it grow. She gave it soil, water, put it in the sun and sheltered it from the cold weather. She wanted to share it with us as an act of kindness. We are so grateful. Diolch!

Hunting, gathering and searching for treasures in Forest School. A dose of nature can help REGULATE, calm and refocus our bodies and minds. We collected the most beautiful autumnal treasures and sorted our collections. We sorted them in lots of different ways.

♥️Today we have been talking about our families. Families can look very different from each other, but are all so special! 🏡A family is two or more people, connected by a strong emotional bond.

We’ve been using a ‘PACEful’ approach in the classroom. When children feel safe to explore their own interests and choices, they gain a stronger sense of self, feel valued, increased self-confidence and an ability to navigate the world authentically.
