I typically use January to play an old favorite or something from deep in my backlog. I whittled it down to AC Syndicate (the one AC I haven't beaten), Yakuza 0, and Metroid Prime Remastered. Metroid Prime Remastered has been fun so far, although it doesn't really have its hooks in me at all yet

Still lots to do in Death Stranding 2 but felt it was time to finish the story, and wow. Death Stranding 2 is still very much that traditional 3rd person cinematic game etc blah blah but man am I so glad that Kojima is out here using AAA money to make such a batshit but heartfelt game like this

I recently posted that there are a lot of similarities between Death Stranding 2 and Stranger Things (esp when viewing Higgs as Vecna) but then 5 minutes later, I watched a climactic cutscene where a mannequin performed a dance routine while singing a pop version of BB’s Theme, so I deleted it
