New paper forthcoming in Philosophy and Phenomenological Research. I critically explore and develop Thi Nguyen's engagement theory of aesthetic valuing and argue that my aesthetic communitarianism handles things a bit better, with a nice upshot: the two principles are fundamentally the same.

This is super interesting. As a undergraduate, I was almost put off philosophy, as I didn't have the clear-cut intuitions that seemed to be expected of me (e.g. XYZ and H20). In fact, that's one reason why I turned to X-Phi. I wonder if this is similar for other experimental philosophers?
