If someone “popular” or “high status” comes out of nowhere + suddenly starts showering you w gifts or attention, be wary. The behavior isn’t inherently bad. But there’s a lot of sick, lonely people looking to take advantage of others and attention + gifts is excellent bait for vulnerable people.
