New meta-analysis on climate anxiety by psychologists from @unileipzig.bsky.social and @tu-dortmund.bsky.social: They find that certain groups are more prone to climate anxiety than others, e.g. younger people, women, and those more exposed to consequences of climate change and related information.

Our study just out in Nature: the extreme North Atlantic heat in summer 2023 was mainly due to weak winds causing shallow mixed layers, which heat up more quickly. Global warming is causing a trend toward shallow mixed layers, making such extremes more likely. 🌊 www.nature.com/articles/s41...
