Megaplex was fun overall. First time actually in Florida beyond the few hours back in 2004 when I went from FLL airport to the cruise port, then promptly left. Would definitely do again.

It was a complicated, and exhausting weekend. Will be heading back to California this afternoon.

I hope I can fit time in this weekend to set up character references and update my FA. I want to get a commission or two this year and don't have anything organized at all.

A few months setback due to hernia surgery with complications extending recovery time. Now back to regularly scheduled complaining that I find cardio boring.

It's apparently Halloween season.

The current time is Friday, 15:22. After a quick 10, 11hr flight, I shall be landing Friday, 11:15. x.x Im still unsure how PTO is supposed to work for today. I worked a full Friday in office today. But I'll land, and can be in the SF office in time for a full Friday in office ...

Heading to con two weeks from abdominal surgery -- prolly not the best of decisions. Standing/walking for an hour makes for an overly exhausted dog. The last couple days have been filled with naps every couple hours. Likely going to swap my flight up from Mon to Sun night.

Hernia repair done. Why must existence require abdomen strength. Lean: hurts Stand: hurts Breathe: hurts Half sneeze: panic and hold breath Bathroom: any timeouts left? Eating: oh no, I can feel its weight inside me against pressing out.

While my throat is healing, I finished up my #Copic Sketch marker rack. A rare few of these are still left from the full set I bought from @icywolfy.bsky.social many years ago! The frame/stand is solid mahogany, and the rack are 3D printed tubes which interlock.

Fried egg Pringles is an unnatural flavor. it tastes like a soft yolk fried egg with crispy bottom. The fact that it had clear crispy bottom flavor broke me.

I never knew that mangoes were meant to taste like this. They're much more flavorful than anything I've ever eaten in the US.

In Panama. Lion's flight arrived without incident Didn't realize that the next couple days are all holidays. On Columbus Day (Nov 5), off to Uruguay.

If anyone knows any furs from Panama, Costa Rica, or Uruguay -- hook us up. suggestions for the trip would be welcome

Sauna was good, tho short. Forgot that the gym closes at 8 on Saturdays x.x Welp, this will be as good as I get before vacation to Panama / Uruguay beginning Thursday.

Diet has been good so far. Avoiding alcohol at con has been doable. And now, another week of convention.

Everyone in Florida be safe! And as always: don't take stupid risks over what are ultimately short term inconveniences. Lives are more important than things.

Weight loss is on track to hitting pre COVID weight. However, I definitely need meal ideas. Anyone have go-to healthy, sensible calorie-sized recipes?

I wonder if some place exists where I can get perogies in Vegas..
