I don't think they can understand how "one-issue" trans voters are. And that issue is: Which party is best for my rights, and hasn't lost my trust from their actions? Nothing else matters. None of this "good vs. evil" stuff. Too often these days it is evil to our faces and evil behind our backs.

People should be bowing down at our feet. Not many in our shoes can ever understand the pain or "otherness" trans people encounter in life. It's why we have kindness and empathy but fucking hell it's difficult to practice that in a world both of cis and other who want to cause us pain.

I have such complicated emotions about my birthday (which is today). Through most of my childhood I had to celebrate it alone, with parents who didn't understand why I didn't have any friends to invite to a party. (Bullying and exclusion will do that.)

Honestly there's no winning the argument with the people who are against us. I wonder at times why to even bother with it at all.
