found out who is writing the new momo ova. a lady that's written some p lame pokemon episodes. at this point the nicest thing i can say is if we're getting bones era pkmn writers on this at least they didn't let tomioka write it. as far as i'm concerned there's no new momo anime.

one of the few things i actually disagree with shudo on is his handling of misty. it's A. He didn't tighten the leash around the other writers to make her a consistently written character. (bc he never did that with any of his shows and all characters feel diff when he isn't writing them.)

pokemon being a corporate franchise doesn't mean the ppl behind it can't use it to make wonderful art. the only thing stopping them is the suits and the artistic limits of the creatives themselves. shudo proved this shit back in gen 1.

pokemon has every right to be compared to FF and DQ, esp the older games. people are massively fucking stupid if they don't understand that pokemon is just as much as RPG as those series.
