I met a lovely artist at my book signing yesterday. We chatted about art & my feeble attempts at painting. She said her best advice is if you loathe the thing you've painted, try something big and bold with it. A swoop! A scribble! It won't make it any worse, and it might change everything. 💙📚

Something I'm doing for my mental health is watching videos of a British toddler with the manners of an old chap who bakes tiny things with his mum, and, I don't know, but I feel like it's helping me survive somehow.

Do you ever forget yourself and gently (lovingly!) toss something across the room (like, ahem, a snack pack to your husband) - and, because you forgot that you have no aim, end up breaking a whole tendril off one of your favorite plants on accident? No? *Sniff.* Me neither. 😫🌱🪴
