Sometimes writing is struggling to get 100 words, and sometimes it's a 1900-word short story in two days and sadly there is no in-between

1400 words today on a short story that's in its final scene, and brainstorming for a short piece for an anthology submission call. Productive day!

Slowly easing into writing after taking a short break for burnout recovery. Managing to get some progress on this draft, and actively brainstorming worldbuilding concepts for a YA fantasy standalone story.

Dealing with a bit of burnout after spending most of the year doing intensive writing periods. Going to take some time for myself and return to the stuff I'm working on in a few weeks.😔👍

Finished the second draft of sci-fi quartet book 3; going to go over it for structure and flow before sending it to co-writer. My plan is to get the second draft of the final book in that series done next month into November then switch gears to tackle a novella and/or YA fantasy book 3.

Finally signed up for Bluesky lol! I'll try to remember to post updates semi-frequently. Biggest update: I have a short story under contract at Voyage YA! :) Coming early November
