The cost of food in the UK is ridiculous and watermelon is about $4, which is still steep but at least minimum wage is ~15$ / hr.
$12.00 for a watermelon in the US, when the minimum wage is $7.25 / hr though.
You'd need to work for an hour and a half just to buy a piece of fruit. Madness.
