Just thought an email entitled ‘Charity Abseil’ was about a student named that. (A sign of the times working in a secondary school in 2025).

Can’t stop watching old BFI films from around Britain. St Ives 1948. Brighton 1955. London 1981. To name but a few. Here’s the Brighton one:

Lee Dixon low level chuntering away as if he’s moaning about his lawnmower not working quite as well as it should do or which route is best to take if driving from Edinburgh to Dover and how many roadworks there are on the way. 👩🦰🔫

Anyone know who sang the female backing vocals on ‘20th Century Boy’ by T Rex please? They make the track extra exciting imo. Have tried to look it up and failed. (Had a massive poster of Marc Bolan on the back of my bedroom door when I was at Primary school).

TV adverts are some kind of abuse. They shouldn’t be allowed. I don’t wish to be insulted and assaulted by the facile, tasteless pushing of unwanted goods and services. Companies - spend your advertising budget money on something better. Like crisps.

Two days left of my holidays so to make the most of it I spent today watching videos of massive waves in the sea, plane crashes, a Twitter thread of vids that might cause megalophobia and bought a Lulu Guinness bag I don’t need.
