As we do every year, the wife and I are watching horror movies this month. We finally got around to I Saw The TV Glow. All I really knew about it going in was how many people I follow who enjoyed it and a recommendation to not look up the plot.

It seems counterintuitive for a job that is basically about poetry, but giving your fans the impression that you have an elaborate sense of metaphor and symbolism must be one of the worst mistakes a pop star can make. Just endless fodder for conspiracy theories and nonsense.
