Robin was, like, 8 years old when he started doing unspeakable vigilante decoy stuff for a billionaire in bondage gear. It feels super relatable and also not. I think about that A LOT.

I drew a bunch of X-Men heads for hypothetical corner boxes a bit over a year ago. I keep drawing X heads & reflecting on their sociopolitical relevance. It pains me that Disney is legally responsible for the things Claremont and co were doing with these characters in the 70/80/90s.

#batmanday pitch- a noir sitcom featuring Batman & The Joker as reluctant roommates in the suburbs. Like Everybody Loves Raymond meets Itchy & Scratchy. Call it Everybody Loves Batman. Their unifying values are free speech & a hatred for fascism (even if Batman’s is the self loathing kind.)

Darryl, 4th of July Siren lights always cheered up Darryl. The way they bounced off the surrounding buildings and trees and sidewalks and grass blades in the night was mesmerizing. He never took to making false 911 calls just for the free light show, but….the thought was never far away.

“Here’s a song about a superhero named Tony, it’s called Tony’s Theme.” Anyways, yeah, I kinda fell in love with that OG Iron Man suit and wanted to draw it after reading the Demon in a Bottle story arch. Messing around with pictures and words with ink in a big Moleskine.
