#27 I'm surprised Inojin got a solo cover. Going by the content of this chapter, Ikemoto seems to have taken a liking to him. It's a net positive for the series given that it lacks in the side cast department. In any case, there's so much to talk about in this chapter, so let's get into it #Boruto

#26. Ikemoto fluidly sets up the new arc with great finesse. Kobu is an amazing addition to the cast & I hope he's here for a while. Daemon vs. Sarada will likely go nowhere, but we know Boruto's version of the pervy old man is coming in one week. Next month is gonna be even more stacked. #Boruto

Finally got around to Heretic last night. That is a non-stop heart-pounder of a film. I was slightly concerned at one point that it was Reddit: The Movie, but it's actually an extremely intelligent piece on belief, perspective, and is very pro-thought. Thematically resolute from start to finish.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex #25 seems to continue the streak of peak Ikemoto has found himself on lately. I can't wait for it to drop officially cuz there is A LOT to talk about.

Naruto expressing that chakra is akin to love, binding people together, and Kawaki says he doesn't understand but wants to learn ninjutsu. Jura naming the same people as Naruto as those who gained power for love, and Kawaki saying he doesn't give a crap about it but wants to protect Naruto.

I love how the Hokage Stone Faces (and particularly Naruto's head, here) are like Kawaki and Boruto's version of the Final Valley statues, but even more poised to be that; a place where they feel they can meet in secret and plan things, but also a place they're destined to do battle in the end, too.

#24: Uzumaki Kawaki. We're treated to a fantastic cover of Kawaki, far from my favourite of him in the franchise but still the best of his two in this part of the story. The colour scheme is effortlessly peak tho. The title is amazing as it mirrors NNG #24 in the same way TBV #01 mirrored NNG #01.

The ever so observant @katharsis07.bsky.social just made me realize what was bugging me about the end of last chapter... The reveal of the staff with Kawaki's power up feels like the stronger he gets, the closer it brings him to both Isshiki and their eventual clash.
