Last year, my master's student and I had the pleasure of taking peat samples in the Flow Country, examining the effect of land use changes and wildfires on carbon stability under current and future climate scenarios. 🌱

🌼 In December 2024, we visited the Forsinard Flows Nature Reserve in Scotland. In this study, we investigate the impact of a wildfire in 2019 on soil processes and carbon changes of burnt and unburnt pairs of different sites – and what it means for future climate scenarios. 🎥 youtu.be/eFpodQWCNPo
