Saddened to hear that Martin Carthy has announced he is retiring from touring due to a Alzheimer’s diagnosis. I spoke to him once in the men’s toilet at Wolverhampton MAC in I think 2017 when in true fan fashion I mumbled a hello Mr McCartney.

Twelve months apart on my first ever 00 gauge #modelrailway #modelrairoad, this layout is dedicated to my grandfather who drove the actual loco that’s modelled D213 Andania a class 40 diesel on his final shift before retiring from BR in the 60’s

Called in to see the talented Jen Orpin who is painting in residence at her exhibition in the Saul Hay gallery Manchester.Gave her a model I made of The Pies Bridge which is immortalised in a couple of her paintings..check out her work at jenorpinpaintings.com

A question for all you OO gauge model rail enthusiasts..having built my DC layout using Peco electrofrog points will I now have to modify them in any way to run DCC ?..it will be extremely difficult and potentially damaging to do so as they are all fixed down and ballasted.
