Watching a cookery competition, much amused that acronym for the Culinary Institute of America (Anthony Bourdain's old school) is the CIA. Am still doing a bit of a double take every time a chef says "I've been with the CIA for X years". It would make for a great mistaken identity comedy thriller.

Love the 2021 remake of West Side Story. Really strong musicians and dancers, and beautifully filmed. Shame that it had such a tough time at the box office. Great to see Rita Moreno again too.

Managed to drive today (first time after op). Bit sore but generally OK. Now collapsing with lunch at somewhere I've been able to drive to. Hoorah!

It must be 30 years since I last saw the Channel 4 drama, Traffik. Watching it again reminds me how good it was with some wonderful performances, and photography. Excellent series.

Reading an Everyman book, there's a long explanation about pricing structure which part hinges on the colour of the cover. The most expensive covers are apparently white and then lilac....I don't think I've ever seen Everyman's in these colours...(though I have seen plenty of the cheapskate covers)
