It is crucial that urgent action is taken to support families facing food insecurity and ensure healthy food is affordable and accessible to all. Addressing these challenges is key to promoting healthy weight in children and reducing diet-related inequalities in Scotland.

Further results show food insecurity is worsening inequalities: 🟠 44% of parents in the most deprived areas worry about running out of food (6% in the least deprived). 🟠 17% report skipping meals, and 7% ran out of food entirely.
