It's easy to give into cynicism, but I'd encourage anyone who's concerned about the government's upcoming AI policy to participate in the People's Consultation on AI (deadline: March 15).

Love to see these initiatives. Profs whose courses have been canceled by universities bowing to the Feds, starting their own courses. People of a certain age may recall the 70s, under Reagan, Thatcher, Mulroney and Pinochet, when free universities became a resistance thing. History is never linear.

Amongst many concerns with the CPC platform, I'm hoping gender-based violence experts/activists will take up the call and argue against the enhanced carceral approach to GBV proposed here. It's likely to have dire consequences for marginalized folks and use of s 33 must be contested.

Joining the voices of those gravely concerned about Bill 39, which provides the gov’t with extraordinary powers in deciding how legal services are funded in AB. This list of defunded organizations reeks of ideology and seriously interferes with A2J. Hands off!
