I've been playing with @legendkeeper.com for some solo roleplaying, and I quite like it so far! And what's pretty neat: you can easily build what is essentially the entire BDP character sheet!

It feels a bit awkward to campaign for myself, but then again, I do think I wrote some nice things last year, such as dicegoblin.blog/just-use-bea... and dicegoblin.blog/add-this-to-... So yeah, if you like my stuff, please cast a vote!

Rangers of the Midden Vale is such a fun game. Ran it at my table a few times; I still use it for setting inspiration from time to time!

I've been rereading the Blacktongue Thief by @buehlmeister.bsky.social and I really liked the rules for duels: Whoever is challenged gets to pick weapons, it's until first blood unless either side deems it until death, the challenger is free to pick a smaller weapon than chosen by the challenged.

Genuinely one of the best film scores that like… exists. The Anvil of Crom is the Idle music that plays in my head when nothing else is going on.

Here's the format I use for overworld encounters, personalising the specifics for each region: Roll a d12* on each table. If any die is a 1 or a 2, the encounter is a surprise. If any die is a 12, the party spots the encounter from afar. Doubles determine how many NPCs/enemies are encountered.
