More snow coming down this morning. Messed up my morning plans (partly because I just didn’t leave early enough, partly because of rail service disruptions), but nothing too serious. Was going to go the aquarium in time for the feeding of the crocodiles, will just try again on Saturday.

yikes. My camera battery really didn't like the cold, I guess. Didn't notice it while shooting at the park, but when I tried turning the camera on today, it was down to 0. Not even enough juice to check the camera display for a second. At least it (temporarily) died for a good cause. #birds

I booked a hotel in London for <130 Euro. City centre. Good reviews, but I'm kind of convinced it'll be somewhat awful 😂 Tbh, it can't really be worse than the one where the room was so small and badly designed that the bathroom door didn't fully open because it hit the nightstand.

Long tailed tits decided to make up for the lack of birds on yesterday’s hike. Why spend 3 hours in marshland when you can just camp out near the feeder in mum’s garden?

Morning walk, 3 hours through marshland. Lovely weather for it, but very few birds. Not even one mallard. A few cranes 🙌 (though at a distance where every picture is more „proof of sighting“ than anything to show off), greylag geese, and chaffinches, that was about it.

Software is (partly) running again, but still can’t access scanned documents. Which rules out 80% of my work. So, will do my phone service shift from home this afternoon, and before that just go on a long lunch break.

Looks like this weekend’s software update broke a few things. Work is split into 2 teams right now: team 1, can log in, but server reaction time can be measured in minutes, and team 2, can’t even start the software, gets „server not available“ error 🙄
