My printer needs replacing, but I still have cyan and yellow ink to use up, so everything I print at the moment is in shades of green - when I remember to change the colour. If I don't, I have blank pages with the odd ghostly word.

Half-way through my novel-in-progress, a new completely unrelated character is in my head, demanding to be heard. Luckily, it might just be a flash fiction. Nope, I'm not elaborating on the character, it's complicated 😉

Does anyone in the UK remember pre-decimalisation? I have a character who's been saving 6/d a week for 185 weeks, and I need to figure out how much she'd have.

My online thesaurus has suggested 'whelms' as a replacement for 'engulfs'. And I've used it in my sentence. I knew you could be overwhelmed and underwhelmed, but whelmed by itself, and now I'm worried the thesaurus is broken 🙃 Do I stick with it or find another word? #AmWriting #WritingCommunity
