As the US offloaded Europe last night, brutally & finally, on top of our known structural problems, European industry shld go on a “war effort footing”. All of our institutions, including competition, shld be on this mission - not business as usual “we are (still) a side dish”. I argue this here ⬇️

We are feeling good. Absolutely, yes. #EuroStack is super central to this plan. But note: we are not pushing for a public agency-led juggernaut, vast subsidies, etc. Much more an industry-led initiative to create demand and conditions for investment and scale. European #industry is key here.

So where have I heard this before? Well said, very late. The #Bubble having conniptions - or drafting memos on “how to get your merger cleared on bogus environmental/growth efficiencies. Hire us”.

#AIActionSummit was all talk, but at #MunichSecurityConference the message landed starkly. The #defence community gets #digital_infrastructure is key to sovereignty, security, democracy & industrial resilience. In the corridors & on stage, the need for a #EuropeanTechStac is very much “a thing”.

As VP Vance tells stunned Europeans to “build, not just regulate”, time for Europe to invest in sovereign digital infrastructure. New major report drops tomorrow on #EuroStack, led by @francescabria.bsky.social. www.euro-stackreport.info All part of “big tent” effort launched last Sept at EUParl.
