It’s pretty freaking cool that I can just play Metroid Dread in handheld, while my friend shows me UFO 50 on the same screen

I’m really starting to love gyro aiming in games. Been playing Star Wars Dark Forces Remaster and it’s so perfect for those quick, precise shots. More shooters need it.

I can’t manage to get that excited for Age of Imprisonment. I’ll play it, but the Calamity war and expanding on the champions had so much more story potential than the imprisoning incident. Age of Calamity made sense, but ToTK already told us pretty much all we needed to know regarding the past.

Hades 2 might be in my top ten… oof it’s close

Those who know me know I’ve dreamed for a long time of having a necromancer game Hades 2 has finally given me that. Between the scythe, the ability to raise the dead, and the creepy familiar forms, it’s in many ways the game of my dreams. If Supergiant runs with this, it’s over.

I beat Hades 2! . Staggering amount of content . Incredible bosses . Gorgeous visuals . Endless experimentation . Drip-feeds new material at a perfect pace . Addictive as hell . Constantly surprising I don’t know what to say. It’s an absolute masterpiece and my game of the year. Holy shit.

I beat Hades! Top-tier voice acting A ton of style Gorgeous Lacks variety Somewhat broken I definitely enjoyed myself, but I gotta admit: I’m not entirely sure what all the hype is. It was good, but didn’t blow me away

They totally increased the overall glowing effect and it is absolutely perfect for these games in particular

I thought I understood what beauty meant. And then I played Mario Galaxy 2 on the Switch 2’s screen

Good lord I forgot how much Galaxy 2 is just pure ecstasy. It’s the sort of game where you’re sad every time a level ends

Anyone got any good palate cleanse games? I've done 4 50-hour RPGS back to back and I don't want to burn out. I usually pick Tropical Freeze, but am totally open to recommendations!

I beat Tales of Vesperia! . Amazing protagonist . Lovable cast . Fun weapon skill system . Beautiful environments . Disappointing story . Overstays its welcome This might have been my favorite so far despite the fact that the amazing potential in the story with Yuri and Flynn goes nowhere

13 years ago, I beat KH2 Level 1 critical mode live on stream at 4 in the morning. Good times.

What I love about Tales of Vesperia is how in any other JRPG, Flynn would be the boring, pure, kind-hearted protagonist, but instead they made it the guy who would normally be the anti-hero side character. And it in turn makes both characters more interesting

Oooooh Yuri just did something I did NOT expect from a JRPG protag and I am INTRIGUED

I keep wanting to update my Switch icon but I just don’t know how to beat this

We need more characters in RPGs who have genuinely unlikable traits and who make genuinely terrible mistakes that trigger them to change into a better person

I don’t know if I want to do Tales of Vesperia next or no—-

I beat Tales of the Abyss! . Fun progression systems . Great characters . Solid character development . Way too much technobabble . Way too much backtracking The first act is incredible story-wise, but then it kind of plummets in act 2 and 3. Still a great game tho.

Act 1 in Tales of the Abyss has some of the best storytelling I’ve seen in an RPG. But then Act 2 and 3 are disappointingly a big lollygag around the land with very little happening, exposition dumps and way too much technobabble. We were so close!!!
